The event will take place in Lviv, 18 Dzherelna St. in the restaurant “Knyazhyi Dim”. Every adult pays fee of 500 UAH, children – 250 UAH for the participation in the display of multi-board chess-play. It is the charity event. All collected funds will be aimed to help children whose parents died in the ATO. “The Holiday of Chess” is organized by the Rotary Club “Lviv”.
Vasyl Ivanchuk is the Ukrainian chess player, International Grandmaster. He is a Vice-champion of the World according to FIDE 2002, European Champion 2004 and Blitz World Champion 2007. The three-time winner of Supertournament in Linares and also a four-time winner of the Chess Olympiads in 1988 and 1990 (in the USSR’s team), in 2004 and 2010 (in the national team of Ukraine).
In October 2007 Vasyl Ivanchuk’s rating was 2787 points (second place) according to FIDE. He is the strongest Ukrainian chess player of all time, who was entering the top ten players in the world for more than 20 years. According to experts Vasyl Ivanchuk is one of the “geniuses of chess.” His rating as of October 2016: Classic chess – 2722 (31st place in the world, the second – in Ukraine).
Oleh Romanyshyn– is Ukrainian (formerly Soviet) chess player, grandmaster (1976). He is the winner of the World Team Championship 2001 (in the national team of Ukraine). Philologist, graduated from Lviv State University.
His rating as of January 2016 is 2460 points (1160th in the world, 69th in Ukraine). In 1978, Oleh Romanyshyn ranked 11th among players in the world with a rating of 2610 points. During 1976 – 1978 years he had the highest rating among players in Ukraine.

Захід відбудеться за адресою: м. Львів, вул. Джерельна 18 у приміщенні ресторану «Княжий дім». За участь у сеансі одночасної гри кожна доросла особа сплачує внесок у розмірі 500 гривень, діти – 250 гривень. Захід благодійний. Зібрані кошти скерують на допомогу дітям, батьки яких загинули в АТО. Організатором «Свята шахів» є Ротарі клуб «Львів».

Олег Михайлович Романишин — український, раніше радянський, шахіст, гросмейстер (1976). Переможець командного чемпіонату світу 2001 року (у складі збірної України). Філолог, закінчив Львівський державний університет.
Його рейтинг станом на січень 2016 року — 2460 (1160-е місце у світі, 69-е в Україні). У 1978 році з рейтингом 2610 очок посідав 11 місце серед шахістів світу. Протягом 1976 – 1978 років мав найвищий рейтинг серед шахістів України.
